You Asked

I just wanted to know more about mental conditioning.

I am at my best when I attack. When I loose 2 or 3 points continuously I tend to go defensive .I also get upset and frustrated and start missing the ball more often.

What should I do?

Hi Pranav,

You need to focus on playing well rather than the score or whether you have lost th elast point or two or even three.

If you can start to focus on the ball rather than the score it will help you to stay in the present rather than the past (you just lost the point) or the future (I hope I can win this match).

By focusing on the ball you will keep focused on what is important, the ball you are hitting.

Do yourself a favour and read the book "The Inner Game of Tennis" by W. Timothy Gallwey.
