Hi Sens,

A lot of the top players in the world are using Tenergy 05 so it clearly is an excellent attacking rubber. It can be very fast so it is suited to attacking players who have developed good control through a lot of practice. I wouldn't recommend this rubber for a beginner.

As for the blade, I use a primorac OFF- blade and haven't tried the Twist IV.

I'll throw this one over to all of our other readers for some more suggestions on what rubbers and blades they have used and can recommend. If you've got some thoughts for Sens then please leave a comment.

Hey Sens,

The characteristic of the Twist IV would be similar to the Ishlion which was my first Carbon Blade. I then changed to the Timo Boll ALC. Frankly speaking about this change, there is a noticeable difference between the feel of these blades. Ishlion, a carbon blade, had a stiff feeling with minimal response and minimal vibration. Timo Boll ALC which is an arylate carbon blade gives a little better response, so the choice if upto you.

As for the playing characteristics with respect to offensive strokes, they both generate almost the same power with the Ishlion blade on the mildly greater side.

The Timo Boll ALC blade was designed for the Tenergy series rubbers although you could very well go in for a Timo Boll Spirit, as I feel that they are almost copies of each other.
