Can you give me some tips on how to properly attack deep, dead (no spin) balls? I have heard that they should be looped. How is looping a dead ball different from looping underspin or topspin?
Also, can you give me any tips on how to flick a short no spin ball?

Hi Ron,
You are right, the loop or topspin is the best option. To make a topspin off a no spin ball you need to generate the speed yourself. Move more forward into the ball and come over the ball a little more. You don't need to lift the ball as there os no backspin and you need to generate the speed because there is no topspin ro speed on the ball already.
For flicking take a look at the lesson on the Forehand Flick. If the ball has no spin you can go more forward on the stroke.
Good luck with it all.
