hey guys,

firstly what a great website and your vidoes are great. just wonderd if you ever get over to england at all? maybe for exhibitions, tournements or coaching? and secondly i practice with a player who has a great backspin backhand and iam really struggling to counter it with my forehand topsin or any other shot apart from the same as hes just hit? any tips for attacking this shot?

HI John,

Unfortunately we don't get the chance to get to England.

To counter the heavy backspin you need to have a more vertical topspin stroke.  The more backspin the more vertical the topspin needs to be.  If you haven't done it already, take a look at the lesson on Forehand Topspin against Backspin.

It will help you.

Alois and Jeff - in the lesson fh topspin agst backspin jeff seems to straighten his upper body as he follows through, starting with his upper body low in a crouch and then rising to end in a straight upright position. is this recommended for this stroke, or is it just a matter of his style of play? thanks.
