You Asked

Welches Holz f. VH Giant Long OX u. BH Friendship 799 OX ?

Spielstil: VH Angriff + Block vorne am Tisch, BH Blocken + Angriff.

dztg. Klinge: Butterfly Amultart

Problem: VH ok, auf BH Block nur bedingt möglich, da bei weichen Tops des Gegners der Ball nicht mehr kontrollierbar ist und meist hinterm Tisch landet.

Frage: welches Alternativholz (evtl. Mizutani ???)

Which wood f. VH Giant Long Bra Friendship 799 OX and OX?

Playing Style: VH Attack + block front on the table, BH + blocking attack.

dztg. Blade: Butterfly Amultart

Problem: VH ok to BH block only possible because of the soft tops of the opponent, the ball is no longer controllable and usually ends up behind the table.
Question: what alternative timber (possibly Mizutani??)

Hi Alois,

I've changed the timber from BTY Amultart to BTY Mizutani with some amazing effect - the pips don't react like a slingshot in blocking hard topspins but give the chance to place the ball very short behind the net.

Hi Gerhard,

Thanks for the update. Good to hear you've found a combination that suits your style of play.

Interesting to hear about the sling effect because I am currently using Amultart with LP.  If that doesn't work out, I'll consider Mizutani (who is one of my fav players anyway!).

Hi Ji-Soo,

what pips do you play forehand ? It's interesting for me because in Austria (where tabletennis is rated among fringe sports) it's quite exceptional playing pips forehand (and if so only short pips in order to attack, but never long pips for a versatile play).
