If you've had an enourmous loss during your Table Tennis days, then share it here for everyone. Hopefully sharing the story will help you overcome the bad memories :)

My biggest loss was in the final of the U/17 Australian National Championships. It was 1989 and I was only 14 at the time and had played remarkably well to make the final. But let's just say, I run into a much better player.

The final score:

21-4 21-9

Yep, that's right. I only won 13 points for the entire match. As you can guess it did not last very long. Luckily for me, I had managed to win the U/15's a few hours earlier and so could still manage to celebrate the tournament as a success.

We'd love to hear about some of your biggest losses, so leave a comment and tell us all about it.

in group stage of a local competition,

lost against a state player ranked 10 supposedly, i was merely a hobby beginner player at the time, just going in my first tourni.

just using the basic backhand service, i was in a pushing war. he served all these spins i could not read! [now i can from practise lol]

lost bad. 11-2 11-3 11-4 [he gave me mercy in the lastset]

During school competition, i came up against a player on the Junior Australian National Team. He was ranked like 10th in the Pacific, and you can probably guess i got killed. He was even playing around with me, tellng me which way ill hit it obviously because of his spin.

The final score was: 11-6, 11.8 and 11.9

Doesnt look bad but he was playing around though

I remember my worst loss.I was in a tournament

and it was double elimination i had lost earlier so if I lost this game i would be out.I was playing this guy and i quickly dominated into a 10-0 lead.I soon started to crack under the pressure and kept hitting it off the table.he came back to win 12-10.

In a Delhi State Tournament i was was the underdog.i was to play pre-quarter against a top delhi who was 100 times better then me.In this match i played my heart out and manged to take a lead of 2-1 in first three games and then it became 2-2 and n the decider it was 10-8 score when he got the servie i jst needed one point for the biggest win on my life and for the biggest win for a player like him against him and i was not in practice. But as it was his serve i cdnt return his serves ,put both of them in the net,and lost after he tood two consecutive points 12-12 ..so the final score was 2-3 though he won but i consider it the biggest loss of mine as icd hv won the match had i returned his one serve.though it was a LOSS BUT I CONSTILL CONSIDER THAT MATCH MY WIN EVEN TODAY.

Yaahhhh!!!!1 I saw you play that day and even though you were not able to gage the ball so precisly ...you really made that former Delhi no.1 player to cry out loud to get a point....I would not look at it as a defeat but a stepping stone to success as that was the day you also got to know that even without practise if you can get these players to bend on to their knees to beg point from you ...then what is gonna happen when you're gonna practise and come back to the arena......ROAR like  lion and kill them first .....then eat them with you bloody game......becuz its too dangerous when you are in practise ...trust me you will be at INDIA TOP 5.....Bless you

I have played against one of my best friends hundreds of times and have only won twice. We have a club at our school and he has lost less than three matches over the four months that it takes place.

The worst was when he won 37 points in a row. Definitely the most embarrassing thing to happen in my table tennis career.

I\'ve just started out. I\'ve played a ranked 142 player in my league. Over 10 Years experience behind my opponent and around 5 for me.. My loss against my opponent was 11-4 at my last set. I guess im doing good ^.^
