Stationed in Iraq. Very dusty and dirty. Difficult to get supplies. How do I keep my paddle clean and tacky using house hold supplies that might be available here at the camp. I like the tacky feel to help return service. I currently use alcohol to clean but someone informed me that it may ruin my rubber. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi Brad,

That is a first for Pingskills.

The best way to maintain your bat is just with water.  The main thing though is to keep it free of dust and dirt.  After you use it wipe it down with water and put in a plastic bag if available.  The other crucial thing is to keep it away from heat and especially direct sunlight.  I suspect this may be difficult where you are but se what you can do.

Not sure of the logisitics of all that with where you are but hope this helps.  We would love some more nformation for the site on your table tennis games in Iraq.
