I have played with Hallmark Super Special Long Pips rubber for years. It is now, of course, illegal because of its frictionless quality. What do you believe to be the closest currently legal rubber I can go to to replace the now illegal rubber?

There are several options. Some of th eoptions are Joola Octopus and Stiga Destroyer. Of course there are several others that you can experiment with. Maybe some players who use these could help you out here.
Octopus is used by Chen Weixing and Liu Song. It has good effect on the ball with very good control.
