Are you being overwhelmed by choice in your life? With Table Tennis bats I believe this is a serious problem. There are literally thousands of different combinations you can choose from. Which is the best? What bat should I be using? It is no wonder that equipment is one of the most popular topics in Ask the coach.
Now we are offering something simpler. By outsourcing choice you’ll be left with only a few options which are all excellent Table Tennis bats.
If you are a beginner and this is your first real Table Tennis bat, then go for the PingSkills Rook. It is a great entry level bat that gives you control but also has good quality rubbers that allow you to generate plenty of spin. This is a pre-made bat meaning that the rubbers are stuck to the blade at the factory.
If you’ve already been using a pre-made bat, and are ready to take the next step up then choose from the following combinations which all use the PingSkills Touch blade:
- PingSkills Touch with Mark V 2.0mm rubber on both sides. This is good if you are a control player who still likes to attack on occasions.
- PingSkills Touch with Yasaka Pryde 2.0mm rubber on both sides. This is good if you are a more attacking player as the Yasaks Pryde is a tensor rubber with more speed and spin than the Mark V.
- PingSkills Touch with Vega maximum thickness on both sides. This is a bat only if you are a very aggressive player. I would only recommend getting this combination once you have developed quite good control. Without having developed your control beforehand the bat will be too fast and you will find it difficult to keep the ball on the table.
When you order the PingSkills Touch with one of the above combinations of rubbers, we will glue the rubbers onto the bat for you before we post it out.
So if you are looking for a new bat, then get yourself one of these. You’ll then know you have a decent bat and will be able to concentrate all your efforts on improving your technique.
