Opponents

The most important part of creating an opponent is storing the tactics you should employ during a match. We provide you with a template to help you get started in the right direction with your tactics. In addition you can store information such as what type of rubber they use, what hand they play with and their style. You can also rate different areas of their game and store a short comment along with the rating.

Matches

Once you’ve created some opponents, you can record all of your match results against each of them. Along with the result you should include some match analysis. By analysing each of your matches you will start to improve your tactical awareness. Once you write you match commentary you should consider whether your tactics against that opponent need to be updated based on your analysis.

Training Sessions

When you record each of your training sessions, we ask you to record what your focus was for that session. Having a focus for your training session is a great way to keep your intensity levels up when training and helps you concentrate on the areas that you really need to improve.

Vault Analysis

Once you’ve recorded all of this information, the PingSkills Vault allows you to analyse this data in some really useful ways. Firstly you can analyse your opponents and see all of the different types of opponents you play against. Secondly you can analyse your match results. This analysis shows you your winning percentage against 4 different types of measures. Do you think that you are better against left or right handers? Well with the PingSkills Vault you can find out! This really is my favourite feature of the Vault. Lastly you can analyse your training sessions. This analysis provides you with a breakdown of the areas you have been focusing on and also displays how much training you have been doing per month.
