Dropping Your Bat
If a player drops his bat during a point, does he lose the point?
The player does not lose the point but he will need to pick up his bat pretty fast to return the next ball as you must have a bat in your hand to hit the ball over the net.
Touching the Table
This also relates to the rule about touching the table.
A common misconception is that you aren’t allowed to touch the table. The actual rule is that only your free hand is not allowed to touch the table. Any other part of your body can as long as you don’t move the table surface at all.
