Table Tennis Rules - Games Up to 11
For those new to the game or those returning after a few years will be surprised to find out that Table Tennis is now played up to 11 points instead of 21.
So all games are played up to 11. Players have two serves each. Serving does not depend on whether you win the point or not.
If the scores get to 10 each then you have 1 serve each until someone gets two point ahead.
For these and all the basic rules of Table Tennis explained in a simple way, go to the Rules Brochure which is downloadable for free from the Summary of the Most Important Rules on the Lessons Page.
This is an extract from the brochure.
• A game is won by the player or pair who scores 11 points unless both players or pairs
score 10 points, then the game is won by the player or pair that leads by two points
i.e. 12 – 10 or 13 - 11 etc.
