seeing everyone working hard and pushing themselves really gets me into training mode

Before coming to China I was finding it hard to get motivated for training. I’d just started a new school, had a lot of homework and was just generally unmotivated. To be honest, I wasn’t really that keen on going to China but my dad thought I would be a lot better off training in China compared to sitting at home doing nothing all day and in the end I agreed and decided to go.

Now that I’m here I’m glad I decided to go. Being around other table tennis players who train hard, are motivated and do all the things required to improve helps with my motivation. Going to training and seeing everyone working hard and pushing themselves really gets me into training mode.

I’ve been in China a total of 9 days and only have another 11 to go as I will be leaving on the 29th of December so that I’m back in Australia for New Year’s Eve which I haven’t celebrated in Australia for the last 2 years as I’ve been overseas training.

In the next write up I’ll talk about how we train and the physical we do.

Jesse
