Table Tennis Question Archive

We’ve now added a “Monthly Archives” drop down box to Ask The Coach. Once you select a month from the drop down list, you will be shown all of the questions that were asked during that month. Previously it has been difficult to browse older question but now this should make the task easier.

Take a look at the first 6 questions

Back in August 2007 we took our first 6 questions. My favourite one was Tactics against defensive players.

If you’ve been wanting to take a look at older questions then dive right in to our archives and see if you can find some interesting questions.

Coming soon

Soon we will be adding a new way to browse through all of the questions. We will be adding a category so you’ll be able to see all the questions on footwork as opposed to all the questions on equipment. This should prove to be a really useful way to look at the archived questions.

In a tournament can the paddle leave a player’s hand during play? My buddy scored a point last night when his paddle hit the table as he hit the ball and it flew out of his hands, thus distracting the other player. Is this illegal?

    Hi Jeremy,
The paddle or bat needs to be in the players hand when he hits the ball. If he did this then it is a legal shot.
