Free Online Lessons Ideas

In the last few weeks we have had a few requests for Online lessons.

Here are some of the suggestions:

• Fitness Training

• Counter Smash

• Warm Ups

• Sidespin topspin

We would love to know which of these you think would be most beneficial.

Add your comments below to let us know.

You may have another idea that you can add.

Also, our Coaching Lessons DVD 2 will be out soon so watch out for this as well on our store.

    Hello,

I’d personally prefer counter-smash and topspin sidespin. In addition, I would enjoy videos on just sidespin alone. (You have some videos on chopping but those are all backspin.)

And finally, thanks for doing this.

    Regards,
    Cihan

Sidespin topspin as in a hook loop?
At this stage I don’t need lessons on hook loops or counter smashes. As for warmups, I’ve already settled on a routine that seems to really work for me (start by counter driving and then gradually go back a few steps to loop, then back in to counter drive).

So, out of the 4 you listed, I would actually be interested in fitness training. Before, I used my actual hit-outs to be my physical exercise, but I’m getting to the stage where I need to do actual physical training to improve my table tennis game.

Aside from the 4, I would be interested in:

    1) backhand flips (you’ve just done the forehand one, thanks for that!)

    2) service returns (but maybe this should be done in a whole DVD like with serves)

    3) putting razzle dazzle and deception into serves a la Waldner (once again, maybe this should be done in a whole DVD)

    4) footwork advanced (note you’ve already done the basic)

    5) advanced strategy (once again, maybe should be done in a whole DVD)

    Thanks!

Thanks Ji-Soo and Cihan. All those ideas will be put on our list.

The Backhand Flick is now on youtube and will be linked on our lessons page soon.
