Video lessons are here!

Ping Skills founders Alois Rosario and Jeff Plumb have put together a number of video lessons:

It is not often that you get access to an Olympic Table Tennis Coach, so we hope you enjoy these lessons and use them to improve your game. If you have any questions about the lessons then be sure to Ask the Coach.

Will there be more video lessons?

More video lessons are certainly on the way. We plan to gradually add more and more lessons to cater for all levels of players. If you have any requests for a particular video lesson then please leave a comment on this post.

How much are the lessons?

At Ping Skills we want to provide value for money and we really want you to improve your Table Tennis game. If you don’t find these lessons helpful, then we don’t want you to pay a cent! If you do find them useful, then we want you to pay what you think they are worth. That’s right, it is completely up to you to decide how much to pay. We are sure you’ll find these lessons help you improve so go ahead and watch them and take your game to the next level.

I really liked the video lessons to date and have some requests for future ones.

    1) how to do the flip (against short backspin, short topspin, and short dead balls)

    2) forehand loop (including, looping against backspin - maybe as a whole separate video)

    3) backhand loop (including, looping against backspin)

    4) forehand cutting (both over the table and behind the table)

    5) backhand cutting (both over the table and behind the table)

    6) returning serve (different spins, long and short serves)

    7) backhand smash, and generally how to hit backhand against high topspin shots

    8) how to serve deceptively, maybe a separate video on how to serve tactically

    9) footwork

    10) general tactics

I’d better stop there! Quite a lot already. Any of these would be great, and the more the better!

I would like you to give one lesson all on the topic of “spin”
I’m a beginner, and would like to learn more about spining the ball.

Sometimes people hit wicked topspin loops which are 90% spin and 10% pace. I know that if I just stick my bat out, the ball is going to spin off it and go a mile long. I know I’m supposed to keep my grip loose and swing through the ball. But it’s hard for me to relax when I see a monster loop these days. Some videos demonstrating how to play monster loops would be REALLY handy. Thanks!
