Have you seen Alois versus Italy?

For 20 years any new visitor to the Head (Alois’ nickname) household was asked “Have you seen Alois versus Italy?” and then promptly shown this great video. We pick up the match with Alois down 18-12 in the second set after winning the first. In one extremely good point, Alois employs the rarely used “Bird Loop” to overpower the Italian. At around the 50 second mark, there is a slow motion replay which clearly shows his great technique of this unique shot. When attempting to copy this “Bird Loop”, it is critical to ensure that after making contact with the ball, that both arms are raised up into the air like a bird’s wings, and then you must thrust them both down towards the ground. If you perform this technique correctly, you will even feel a little lift from off the ground.

So sit back and enjoy this fantastic Table Tennis treat.
